Pool Landscaping

It is a long cherished dream of every property owner to add a fabulous swimming pool or garden pool to their landscape décor. It is possible to purchase cheap readymade pools and install them in your backyards but unfortunately, these cheap pools don’t have the same aesthetic appeal or exotic look that a landscaped pool can boast of.

However the latter is pretty expensive and you need to have deep pockets to afford it; but the pros far outweigh the cons.

Above the ground pools are popular options for most people but you should know that the sides can often buckle under pressure, the bolts can become undone, and screws loosen up over time. There are countless other such glitches which are regularly reported but cannot be listed here due to space constraint.

All these drawbacks can be eliminated if you invest in pool landscaping. The latter involves contouring the water body in a place on the ground where it is naturally supposed to be.

All kinds of pool landscaping aren’t expensive. Expenses will vary depending on the kind of designs you want to incorporate. The two materials which are commonly used to make the pool are rubber like liner and cement.

In case of concrete pools, you have to dig out the pool, cut out a shape (round, square, rectangular, horse-shoe, kidney, 8-shaped) or contour it, pour concrete in to it and let it set.

The concrete has to be cured, decorated with tiles, drains have to be made to flush out the used water and keep it clean and operational. Naturally, as you can understand, this will incur huge expenses.

To cut the costs and lower expenses you can opt for pre dug pools lined with rubber like liners. First of all, you have to dig the hole and place the liner properly. Then you need to embellish your pool with rock crush, flat stones and other such naturally available items so that you don’t end up with just a hole in the ground with a bare rubber liner to give it company.

After hoisting and putting into place the whole set up, you need to add an adequate filter. This last one is very necessary for keeping the water clean. One should frequently change the water in a swimming pool to prevent bacterial infection or other dermatological problems resulting from dirty or old water.

Sterilizer mixture must be added to the water to sanitize the water and the pool at regular intervals.

Throw in some deckchairs near the pool with umbrellas overhead and side tables to complete the look.
